The Siena at Montclair - Siena Residents Will Enjoy Easy Commute To Manhattan

A Taste of Siena Brings Buyers Together
New homes now come with a trip on a private plane

MONTCLAIR, NJ, NOVEMBER 27, 2006– Current and prospective buyers at The Siena at Montclair got an opportunity to meet their new neighbors during the November 15th “Taste of Siena” event, which was held at Amanti Vino on Church Street near the site of iconic residential development currently under construction in downtown Montclair. The evening included wine and cheese tasting, a drawing for a trip to Siena, Italy – the inspiration for The Siena – and for those who already purchased a home, a gift box of wine and crystal glasses. The latest incentive to prospective buyers is a 3,000-mile trip on a private plane for anyone who purchases a home in The Siena before December 20.

Nearly 150 people attended “A Taste of Siena”. Local realtors mingled with residents who have already purchased homes, and those who were considering purchasing. Amanti Vino provided samples of wines and cheeses from across Italy for the evening. The intimate setting provided an opportunity for buyers at The Siena to meet their new neighbors and share in the excitement and anticipation of moving into their new homes this summer. Buyers, real estate brokers and anyone who had questions regarding The Siena also got a chance to meet The Pinnacle Companies President and CEO, Brian Stolar, who welcomed the opportunity to answer questions about the amenities of The Siena, as well as the timeline for construction.

“It was very nice to meet with the buyers from Siena and see how excited they were about this exciting project,” Stolar said.

Those in attendance were entered in drawings to win prizes from local restaurants and businesses. Real estate agent Oneida Mendaz-Laws from Coldwell Banker, and Jenny Durand from Better Homes NJ won $100 gift certificates to Fascino Restaurant in Montclair. Sally Greco from Coldwell Banker, and Laurena White from Burgdorff also won $100 gift certificates to South Park Bar and Grill. When it came time to draw prizes for current and prospective buyers at The Siena, Mary Jayne Gamble and Beryl Carnahan won $100 gift certificates to South Park Bar and Grill, and Mark Lange and Antonio Gary won $100 gift certificates to Fascino Restaurant. One of the best prizes of the night, a 29 bottle GE wine cooler was won by Sangita Jindal, who plans to have the new wine cooler installed in her new Siena condominium.

Darrell Major of Roxbury, a purchaser at The Siena, also won the trip for two to Italy valued at $6,000. He learned about The Siena during the Palio Music Festival in September 2005, which was sponsored by Pinnacle Downtown, and purchased a two-bedroom unit on the fifth floor of The Siena. Major said that it’s exciting for him to walk over to the site to watch the construction of his new home. The Siena will keep him closer to his job in Newark, and trips into Manhattan will be much shorter, albeit less frequent, since Montclair reminds him of Greenwich Village.

Beryl Carnahan and her husband Sam spent many years in London, and were excited about having a home with a European style in the culturally rich area of Montclair. The couple, currently living in Florham Park, wanted to be in a place where they could leave their car at home and have a wide variety of restaurants, movie theaters, cafes and shops right outside their door.

“We know the area and we like it very much,” said Beryl. “For me, coming from Europe, I miss living in an area where you can walk around – there are so many places to walk and so much to see in Montclair.”

The Siena will feature 101 luxury condominiums including one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Homes range in size from 982 to 2,800 square feet, start at $480,000 and go to $1.3 million. The mixed-use smart growth development located at South Park and Church Street, is being built by Pinnacle Downtown, a subsidiary of Chatham-based homebuilders The Pinnacle Companies.

All of the homes will include features such as hardwood floors, granite countertops, European cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and stone bathroom floors. The Siena’s ground level will feature retail space, including a New York Sports Club and 40,000 square feet of boutique retail space. The first residents are expected to move in around June 2007.
