The Siena at Montclair - Siena Residents Will Enjoy Easy Commute To Manhattan


MONTCLAIR, NJ, June 14, 2007 — Pinnacle Downtown, a division of Chatham–based The Pinnacle Companies and Kohl Partners, joined with members of the Montclair Arts Council and artist Cadence Giersbach at The Siena at Montclair for an unveiling of two distinctive ceramic art panels at the building’s entrance June 10.

This was also the first day that prospective buyers could take tours of the building from the new sales center, which was relocated adjacent to The Siena at the intersection of Church and South Park Streets.

Pinnacle Downtown also announced that several retailers have signed on for street level shops in The Siena, including Starbucks, Cosi, Woodhouse Spa and New York Sports Club. With over 50 percent of the residences already sold, occupancy is expected in the fall of 2007.

A Tuscan–influenced luxury condominium village in the heart of downtown Montclair at South Park and Church Streets, The Siena represents "what’s next" in suburban mixed–use communities. The five–foot by eight–foot panels pay homage to The Siena’s Tuscan influence, and Giersbach was inspired by photographs she took while traveling in Tuscany to create the mosaics.

Pinnacle Downtown and its partner, Kohl Partners commissioned the two large mosaic panels flanking Siena’s entrance. The mosaics were chosen by a panel consisting of representatives of the developer and architect, along with members of the Montclair Arts Council. They made the final selection from a number of participating artists’ proposals.

The Siena, built on the site of the former Hahne’s Department Store, which sat vacant for more than 10 years, includes 101 luxury condominium homes, including one–, two– and three–bedroom homes and 40,000 square–feet of boutique retail space on the street level. Prices for the homes, which range in size from 771 to 2,800 square feet, start at $418,000 and go to $1.3 million. All of the homes will include features such as hardwood floors, granite countertops, European cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and stone bathroom floors that are usually considered upgrades. The entrance lobby is designed and finished in the rich tradition of Tuscany, including natural stone, wood and a magnificent water wall.

The sales office, located adjacent to The Siena, is open from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. Mondays through Thursday and Sunday and from 11 a. m. to 8 p. m. on Friday and Saturdays. Virtual video tours of residences at The Siena are available at the sales center.
